Children’s Minister
Children's Minister Candidate,
We look forward to adding to our team a dedicated teammate on our staff who feels a calling on their life to disciple children and partner with parents in the discipleship process. This is a position that has potential to grow into a full-time position, and can be flexible. We prefer a teammate who will be able to be in the office at least one day each week to participate in staff meetings and fulfill their administrative duties in the job (i.e. preparing and printing curriculum, organizing supplies, answering e-mails, etc...).
We expect to keep this job open as far as receiving resumes through Sunday, March 23, and hope to have interviews the week of March 24.
We would like the job to begin on or before June 1, 2025.

Lead Minister
Position: Children’s Minister for birth through 5th grade.
Status: Part Time - Salary (paid monthly)
Job Summary: The Children’s Minister of Maple View will plan, train, and execute a strategy of making disciples in all programming for students birth through 5th grade. It is expected that we proclaim the gospel in clean, safe, and fun environments inviting children and their parents to model a life of repentance, believing the gospel, and following Jesus as participants in the Kingdom of Heaven now. Opportunities to both study God’s Word and serve in the local church should be offered to our students and their families. It is expected that parents are communicated, trained, and equipped to disciple their children as part of our ministry at Maple View.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be a baptized believer.
Must subscribe to the principles of the Restoration Movement/ Church of Christ.
Must have a strong desire to serve the Lord.
Experience working with the children is preferred.
Must have a good rapport with the young people and a genuine love for them.
Must be able to work effectively with the children, parents, leadership, staff, and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Align Maple View kids ministry with overall mission, vision, and values of the church.
Choose curriculums and train volunteers for its implementation in our Sunday School, Sunday PM, and Wednesday PM weekly programming.
Recruit volunteers so we are adequately staffed in all programming for Kids ministry.
Execute a clear training that includes missional strategy and security protocols for physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual protection for both students and volunteers.
Coordinate regular programs and special events throughout the year in addition to weekly programming for students and families throughout the year. (i.e. Day trips, conferences, etc)
Coordinate and staff annual Vacation Bible School.
Resource and support parents to encourage the discipleship of their children.
Be present for all weekly services that have children’s programing.
Execute a quality summer experience with extra day trips and events for kids and their families.
Work with Lead Minister to determine a scope and sequence for students with a holistic plan for their discipleship from birth through 5th grade.
Expectations/Accountability:
To attend one study or discipleship group consistently for your personal discipleship.
To attend adult worship 3 times/month. (like your volunteers; to not work more than one Sunday morning/month)
Present reports for congregational meetings, and other necessary occasions. (i.e. if special request to or from board for needs specific to your area of ministry)
Propose detailed annual budget for subsequent year by October 31.
Directly reports to the Lead Minister.
