Who We Are

MapleView Church of Christ is a community of believers in God who look to the Bible for sole authority and instruction on how to live life with God, with His Church, and with the community around us. (Acts 2:42-47)

We don't look to traditions, reason, or the culture of the day as our authority, but understand that these things are the context in which we teach and live out Biblical truth.

Our model for church is found in the book of Acts where the history of the first church is documented.

Our Mission

Before Christ left He gave us His mission for the world found in Matthew 28:18-20.  At MapleView it is our goal to live that mission purposfully everyday.  To that end we have a Vision and Motivational beliefs that define the ministry and goals of our church.

Then Jesus came to them and said, β€œAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

The goal for our church is to grow each person in these beliefs, so they will be able to put Christ Love into Action Everywhere and fulfill the mission that Christ set for us as a church.

Our Vision

Putting Christ's Love Into Action Everywhere

So exactly where is everywhere?  If you look back to the mission set by Jesus we see three relationships.  They are to the lost, to the church and finally with God.  So we define everywhere as love in every relationship that we have.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man who lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended to heaven where He is our advocate.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, without error in the original writings, and is the final authority for all Christians.

We believe in God's saving grace that calls all people to faith, repentance, confession, baptism, and a new life and ministry through the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the believer in Christ resurrected into everlasting joy, and the unbeliever resurrected into everlasting punishment.
